2011 Holiday Gift Guide – Barefoot Books Review and Giveaway

As parents, we ought to be a role model to our children and we should also try to continuously provide our kiddos nothing but the best in anything. And one most vital thing that we should teach our kids is the ability or the interest in reading books. Reading books has a lot of benefits and having the habit of reading makes someone immensely improved.

Even at a younger age, reading is one of the basic skills which should be taught to kids. And having valuable and inspiring books can jump start their reading experience. Even when I was pregnant, I had been reading books to my little baby. And now that my lovely daughter is already a toddler, my love to books has been adopted by her too. She loves books too and we started from simple books and gradually try out new ones. I am so happy that I never run out of books because it gives me the chance to never miss a bonding and learning time with my daughter. Recently, our favorites are the; Lola’s Fandango, The Prince’s bedtime and the Real Princess, which we received for review. All these books are from Barefoot Books.

Buena’s Dias! Lola’s Fandango is all about a young Spanish girl who discovered her own talent by practicing Fandango. This book is perfect for pre-schoolers 4-10 years old of age. The paperback comes with a story CD where you can also find rhythms, movements and sounds of the dance. We also read on the Prince’s Bedtime. A very interesting book tells a story about a prince who refuses to go to sleep! This rhyming bedtime adventure is my best friend every time I put my daughter to sleep! It also comes with a CD edition which we can listen anytime she would like to divert from the usual. One perfect gift I have for my daughter is the “The Real Princess” which is a very inspiring and lovely story, well my daughter loves all princess stories – that’s a fact.
