Gogo’s Crazybones is the new craze among kids these days. Each character or “Gogo” looks like it is made from a hard, shiny plastic material, about an inch tall and they have striking bright colors. Each Gogo is available in 5 different colors. In addition to this, they have a unique form that is intended for children to be able to grip them and throw them in battle effortlessly. Because it is catching the hearts of young people with no difficulty, beware of those who are trying to copy these cute little creatures. Make sure to check your Gogo if it has the MAGIC BOX INT. logo to possess the incredible bounce that every Gogo has.
Aside from being simply cute, Gogos can be played in a lot of different ways. My 4-year old daughter’s personal favorite is battle, wherein you try to knock down as many Gogos as possible from your opponent’s Gogo team. You can also play Gogo games that are similar to sports like bowling and basketball. The games are surprisingly similar to our classic childhood games like jacks or marbles. Kids probably have the creative juices to invent their own game using their Gogos. I, myself, am just waiting for my daughter to teach me her very own game when she invites me to battle with her again.
In addition to battling using the Gogos, children can actually do a lot of other things with it. Since they come in 5 colors and there are about 80 Gogos, a lot of kids want to collect all of them. This will probably take time and cost money but you can also use it as a tool to teach your little one about the value of money. I told my daughter that if she really wants it desperately, she could do chores and save her money to complete her collection. One can buy in packs of 3’s or 6. They also have stickers that contain all the information about your Gogo and a sticker album where you can place them. Trading Gogos with other kids can help their growing collection and also encourage interaction between their peers.
Because of the Gogos trend, there are other materials with Gogos all over them. Grab-a-Scab, for example, has Gogo-designed scabs (stick-on fabric patches). I just received mine and I found out that aside from Gogos, they have a lot of other designs; they even have Scabs that you can write on and you can have personalized Scabs. These are just like stickers, they do not need to be sewn or ironed.
Moreover, the Gogos fad already reached our favorite amusement park, Six Flags. Gogo’s Crazy Bones has vouchers downloadable from their site. Bring your voucher and your Series 1 Gogo pack and avail of the $10 discount off your entrance fee. When your kids find out about this, they would probably go in a panic because the offer is effective until September 30, 2012 only. Joining the Gogo craze are the following: Six Flags Over Georgia, Six Flags Great America, Six Flags Great Adventure, Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags New England.
