April 2014 Bluum Box Review

By Contributor Christina Baker

Bluum Box: 1 month subscription: $24.95

Bluum was created in 2011. This monthly box allows you to try items before you buy them. We all know that it can be very expensive to raise babies, trust me, I am finding this out with my 8 month old son. I read so many articles in magazines that interest me and end up ordering so much. Sometimes this isn’t so successful because either I like it and my son doesn’t or it wasn’t what I thought. The Bluum website allows its subscribers the ability to write reviews for others to read.

Bluum boxes have a value of $40 or more and contains 5 or more full size products for babies, toddlers and moms. The age range for these boxes are unborn to 5 years old.

Bluum has a team of expert M.O.M.’s (Managers of Merchandising) who try new products as well as getting to know different brands. Bluum works with more than 350 brands as well as over 1,000 different products.

Bluum always ships free around the 17th of each month. Products are based on your child’s age, gender and developmental stage.

At this time, you cannot order products from Bluum’s website but it is something that they are looking to offer in the future. Bluum has its own blog featuring products, baby advice among other subjects. The blog does give its members chances to win products and different bundles. Bluum welcomes product recommendations from its members on their website.

You do not have to have a child to order a subscription. Subscriptions are offered as 1, 3, 6 and 12 month. I myself have gifted a single month and 6 month subscription to friends and families. I found this to be an awesome baby shower gift especially when you know someone who is hard to buy for. I gifted a 6 month subscription for my niece who just turned 16 months old. My brother-in-law really loved the boxes that my niece received so I purchased another subscription.

Bluum is very good to it members because you can earn points to receive free boxes. when you earn 500 points, you receive a free box. You don’t have to worry about getting on the website in time to input codes. As soon as you accumulate 500, they automatically apply it to your next order. Each box that you purchase is worth points and this includes gifted boxes. For each item in your box, you are given an opportunity to review the product which gives you 10 points. So, if you received 6 items in your box this month, you could add 60 points. If you link your account to your Facebook account, you receive 20 points. Every day, you can share your special link to refer friends an earn 3 points each day. Its not based on the amount of referrals each day. This is a per day incentive, not per friend. Each month you could potentially earn 90 points for Facebook referrals. If you combine your daily referral and reviews, you could earn 150 points per month.

This month, my son received his 8 month box which retailed for $40. My niece received her 16 month box that retailed for $52.09. That is a pretty great deal if you ask me. A great box for her to tear into each month with goodies! I love getting her phone calls to hear her yell THANK YOU! My son is only 8 months old but each month, he is able to get more and more excited!
