My precious little girl will be starting Grade 1 in a few days and going to school is not only about being inspired to make lunch time fun for her, but also in helping to make her ready to face everything that life at school may bring to her heads on and at the same time providing it with style and flair.
To achieve the perfect lunchtime for my little princess takes lots of time and shopping, but I have been lucky to receive the Thermos Barbie FUNtainer bottle and food jar to review. Naturally, she could choose what theme she would like and she chose her favorite character Barbie all in pink.
She had been waiting everyday for it to be delivered. Finally, we received the Thermos FUNtainer barbie pink bottle and food jar in a very strong and tightly secured package. She immediately sat down on the floor and tried to open it herself, with a little help from me. Both the bottle and food jar looked exactly as advertised.
As we still had some time before school starts it was time to put these products to the test and see if it would be keeping my little princess happy with lunchtimes at school.
The Thermos Funtainer bottle is not just any bottle it has a double wall insulation to keep any fluids at maximum cold temperature throughout the day, I filled it up with some lovely fresh water from our fridge and my princess drank from it during the day. The bottle keeps the water nice and cool for her to drink all day! Even the hygienic push button lid provided with pop-up silicone straw was easy for her to open without mommy’s help.
She had even dropped it and the stainless steel interior prevented it from cracking or breaking and she can carry it with the flip-up carrying loop preventing her from losing it, and what makes this bottle even more special is that it can be washed in my dishwasher. This is an excellent bottle and even my princess thinks so.
The next big challenge had been testing the Thermos FunTainer food jar! Early- morning I prepared some lovely left over Mac and cheese I had kept for the kids for lunch. I warmed it up at the normal temperature I would, when they would sit down to eat. Placing it in the food jar and closing it, I found that the lid closed very tightly and with the double vacuum padding should be able to retain the food’s temperature for hot or cold.
As lunchtime arrived I asked my daughter to see if she could open the food jar herself and she opened it with no problems making me feel very satisfied that she would not be having any problems when lunchtime at school arrives. The food was still nice and warm and cool to touch preventing her from burning herself while holding the jar. The food had kept warm for up to five hours and still nice and warm for them to eat.

I am a very happy and a satisfied mom with these two products where safety is concerned, knowing that my princess will not have any leakages or troubles when using the bottle and jar at school.
