My daughter and I have a common girly side when it comes to jewelries. I personally invest in quality accessories because they instantly glam up every simple outfit, and it makes me feel extra confident in anything I wear. While my daughter surely does enjoy borrowing them, I gotta say they don’t suit her yet for her age. So when she got a super fun jewelry making set that’s just perfect and safe for her, I of course naturally approved of it! We both fell in love with her new Beados Gems Designer Studio.
The Beados Gems Designer Studio has everything my daughter needs to create her own jewelry pieces that she can wear to doll up her own simple outfits, and even give to her friends she loves playing dress-up with!
This fabulous Beados Gems Designer Studio set includes:
- 1 Gem Studio – this is where you put the gems which can be sorted by colour, and you can choose which gem colours to dispense by spinning it then pressing the button. The gem then goes through the tube attaching to the gem pen, which you use to press the gems on the design tray.
- 500 Beados gems – it has 5 cute pastel colours: pink, blue, yellow, purple, and beige
- 6 design templates – the patterns you can make jewelry designs from are unicorn, princess, crown, candies, hearts, and basic circles. But you can create your own too!
- 2 design trays – this is where the design template is placed under, and where the beads are put together following the design. This is also where water would be sprayed and where the beads are left to dry.
- 1 water sprayer – the assembled beads are spritzed with water to glue them together.
- 6 jewelry attachments – these connect the gem design to the ring or pendant, or to another gem design, and also need to be attached to the gems and spritzed with water.
- 1 necklace
- 1 necklace pendant
- 1 bracelet
- 1 ring
- 5 jewelry plugs
- 2 display stands
- 1 instruction booklet
I love that it’s a safe bead activity kit for kids aged 4 and up, because it uses no heat, no glue, and makes no mess. Creating these fancy gem jewelries was just as easy as “Make, Spray, and Dry”.
- Make: The Beados Gems Designer Studio stores and organizes the beads so we had no problems with scattered beads. However it was sometimes quite challenging to get the gem out of the gem pen, and to keep the beads in place on the design tray, so making it requires a really flat and stable work surface. But good thing, my 7-year old daughter was patient and careful in using it. I believe children younger than this age may need help from grownups to keep things together.
- Spray: Spritzing the gems with water is indeed safer than ironing them, and less messy than gluing.
- Dry: The gems also took a bit long to dry, about several hours, but the wait was all worth it.
The Beados Gems Designer Studio kept my daughter really busy and serious with her arts-and-crafts work. She enjoyed making her own accessories all by herself. She was so proud of her dazzling jewelry creations, and she enjoyed wearing them! This would make an awesome gift for girls who love to make and wear accessories, and a great bonding activity for creative sisters!
