One of the important skills for your little one to learn is swimming. Not only does it help to ensure that they are safe when you go on holiday by the beach, but it is also good exercise and a lot of fun. Therefore, it is important that they have the best swimwear available to ensure that they can learn this skill comfortably. Recently my little princess received the Billabong Salty Tankini Set to review.
As soon as the package arrived, she stood ready to open it. All excited about receiving something new to wear and flaunt as if she is a model on a runway, one of her new favorite pretend games. She held it in her hands like it was the most luxurious piece of clothing, mesmerized by all the colours involved in the mosaic pastel pattern as she dressed. She found it quite easy to put on, although she still needed my initial help to adjust the straps of the top piece of the set. However, after I showed her how to do it, it proved no problem to her anymore that was definitely a help, as she has reached the stage where she wants to do more things without my help.
The Billabong Salty Tankini Set consists of a top and bottom that are similar to a normal bikini, except that the top covers the stomach completely, giving the outfit as a whole the look of a one-piece swimsuit. This is a great relief to me because I know it protects my little princess’ sensitive skin from the sun while she swims and she is happy because I allow her to wear a bikini.
In addition, it offers further protection her as it consists of 87% Polyamide (Nylon), a Chlorine and heat resistant fabric that is BPA free. As a result, this fabric would also last longer, keeping its colour and strength. The other 13% consists of Elastane, which gives the swimsuit its elasticity and allows it to move with the body, allowing her to move comfortably when she swims, allowing her to focus only on her swimming movement.
The real test however was when she wore it for the first time to her swimming classes. I was a bit nervous still, because even though it seemed to fit her perfectly and she moved comfortably in it while in the water of the pool it could change everything. I watched nervously as she got into the pool, flaunting her new swimsuit proudly, but luckily, it did not hamper her at all. She moved with grace as she followed the instructions of her teacher, laughing and enjoying each moment of the lesson. When she was done with her lesson, it was quite a struggle to convince her that she needed to take off the wet swimsuit as she insisted to wear it.
I would definitely recommend the Billabong Salty Tankini Set as it offers your little princess the style and flexibility of a bikini with the comfort of a one-piece while protecting her skin that is truly a blessing.
