Even though Coleman Get Outside Day has gone past it does not mean that you must forget about spending time outdoors, therefore it is still important to make an effort towards spending more time outside. For those who have not read my previous post about Coleman Get Outside day, it is an initiative by Coleman Canada in response to their findings that 63% of Canadians spend less than 2 hours a week outside.
We had a wonderful Get Outside Day as a family. However, we have found that even though it is fun spending time outside as a family and for the little ones to play outdoors. There is always the problem with mosquitoes and other bugs. I am sure many parents out there have the same problem, but luckily, Coleman Canada has the answer with their Youth InstaClip Screen House. We received a sample of this product to test.
The product Specs and Features:
- It is a bright, child friendly screen house.
- 6′ L x 5′ W foot print – 5′ H centre height.
- Has the InstaClip technology that helps with assembly.
- Has a No-See-Um mesh that keeps your little ones safe from annoying bugs.
- It comes with roof air vents, that helps with air circulation and keeps shelter cool in hot weather
- It is made of a polyester material that is waterproof.
- It has a centre hub that helps to strengthen the structure during heavy winds.
- Also has a pocket organiser where the little ones can store some of their personal items.
- It is only available at Wal-Mart, MSRP $39.96.
When we received this product, we immediately started to assemble it for the little ones; they would have to put it to the test. As I looked at all the parts, I thought assembling it would be difficult, but was quite surprised at how easy it seemed to be. After assembling it, we realized that it was standing in the wrong spot and almost started to fret, but it was even easier to lift and move. Before we even had it set down on the ground, our little ones were standing ready with all their toys, the Coleman Glow in the Dark Constellation Chair in tow too.
The two of them played for hours outside in it, pretending that it was their own little house. They enjoyed playing in it so much that when it was time for lunch and supper they convinced us to eat it in there with them. It was nice and cool inside even though it was quite hot outside and spacious enough for all of us to sit and enjoy our meals. Since we put it up, we have not disassembled it, as it has become a little space where not only the little ones can have fun, but also where we can spend time together as a family.
I will definitely recommend this to any family as it is easy to assemble and sturdy, even the harshest winds or rain does not damage it which makes it perfect not only as a play area in the backyard, but also for camping with the family. It is also very safe and helps to keep your little ones protected from annoying bugs and the harsh sun, allowing them to have fun outdoors.

This screen house looks so good. I would love to use it for having outdoor meals without being pested by bugs!
I would love this, I am allergic to wasps and hornets and wouldn’t have to worry sitting in this!
What a great screen house and I would have loved to have something like this when my kids were little. Actually this would be great for our grandchildren as the mosquitos are still nasty.
Omg I love it!!! I wished they had this when my girls were little, where we live, it’s a swampy area so there is certain times that you cannot go outside because it gets so bad with mosquitos, this would of been perfect and every mom should have one!!!
