As my school-age daughter grows older, it becomes more and more challenging for me to get her to sleep early. I know it’s just natural because as she learns more, she thinks more! She thinks of a lot of things that it’s just hard to fall fast asleep. It would have been fine by me, if only she doesn’t have to get up early for school!
That’s why I want her to get a good quality sleep. And not only that, I want her to look forward to sleeping tight and playing in Dreamland! What other creative way to do this than with the help of a Dreamland Fairy?
The Dreamland Fairy Kit is a complete package for little girls who have boundless imagination but also need to be inspired to really have their beauty sleep.
The kit includes:
- Dreamland Fairy storybook – written by the Dreamland Fairy founders Cassie Slane and Amy von Dine, illustrated by Yvette Ruzicka
The story is about a fairy who ran out of stories to tell her fairy friends, and so another fairy thought of this brilliant idea: visit sleeping children to listen to their dreams! Why, children’s dreams are such a great place to be lost in. I wish I had the ability to get inside my kids’ dreams too.
- Dreamland Fairy house – It’s a beautiful wooden house with double doors and a roof window. It’s meant to be displayed on your child’s bedside so that the fairy can come inside and hear your little one’s dreams with the roof window open! This house is quite big enough to fit a small doll, or maybe for two or three fairies to live comfortably. I already love it as it is, just plain yet beautifully constructed, but it’s meant to be painted by your kid!
- Paint set – A paintbrush and seven paint colors in one string of small paint tubs are just what my daughter needs to finally express her creativity out of her boundless imagination. She enjoyed painting her fairy’s house very much.
- Magical fairy dust – What’s a fairy kit without the magic dust, right? Sprinkle some on the fairy house to let your fairy know that she’s welcome to live there.
My daughter felt so much for the Dreamland Fairy in the story and she was willing to share her dreams so that the fairy can have more stories to bring to Fairyland. From then on, she looked forward to sleeping on time and in remembering her dreams. She even told me that a fairy was present in her dream! Waking up in the morning was never a problem for us anymore.
Interestingly, the Dreamland Fairy was born out of the idea of two six-year old girls, the daughters of one of the Dreamland Fairy founders. No wonder, it was a big hit with my daughter! If there’s one thing that really struck me with this idea, it’s about letting your child’s imagination inspire you. Great job for the girls and their founder moms!
