Eat with JJ Rabbit Eco-Friendly Feeding Products

My 3-year old son is still in the process of learning to feed himself, and there’s no shame in that mommies! In fact, I feel proud of him for taking the initiative to grab a spoon, scoop anything edible and put it into his mouth. Never mind the loads of mess that scatter all around. Just seeing his face beam with enjoyment and pride pays off all the cleanup I’d have to do later.

But there are days when my munchkin wouldn’t want to eat what’s on the table just because he wants to assert his independence. And when I succeed the hard way in convincing him to take even just a few bites, he would want to feed himself but get frustrated afterwards because he would find it difficult to hold his utensils and the food would keep falling off. I know, it’s a delaying tactic of his. I appreciate his smart ways of making excuses but it’s just no fun. I just gotta find a way to make him look forward to mealtimes no matter what.

And then here come JJ Rabbit to make my kid to enjoy eating on his own again! Just like rabbits, my heart bounced with joy when I saw my son’s excitement and eagerness to really feed himself without my help. Let me tell you why.

First, I laid out his new JJ Rabbit siliMat on the table. It is made of silicone which is safely anti-bacterial, odor-free and tasteless. We have the orange color with a cute sketch of a happy rabbit. Then suddenly my kid wasn’t sure if it was mealtime or playtime. He asked me to hand him some crayons! The body is round and serves as the main plate, and the little rabbit head and ears on the side can serve as a mini plate for dips and other side dishes. Well I put a few small berries on it for his dessert. And then I put his pasta and veggies on the main plate, with a little pretty plating of course to entice him. Like I said, my boy is smart so he knew the dipPlate was shaped like a rabbit!

And finally, my favorite part, is when I handed him his new JJ Rabbit ergoFork+Spoon. This pair is very easy for little hands to grip. And I love the spoon so much that I wish there was an adult-sized version for me. Its elevated curved tip keeps the food from falling off, and easily goes into my son’s mouth. He was surprised himself by how mess-free his mealtime was! I wish we had this when my daughter was still one.
