Among the many creative toys I’ve seen, the PlayMais play sets certainly stick out from the pack. PlayMais is a little bit like modeling clay; it’s soft and malleable and can be made into all kinds of shapes. But PlayMais is way more fun! It comes in all different colors, and is easy to adhere, detach and re-adhere again.
The system is simple: each PlayMais kit comes with a washcloth, which you get wet before creating. When you want to stick a piece of PlayMais to something, you just wet the side you want to adhere on the washcloth and it becomes a snap to stick anywhere: other PlayMais pieces, wood, paper or even glass.
The reason that PlayMais is so easy to use and simple is also the reason it’s an eco-conscious product line. All the PlayMais material is made from corn and water, and dyed with natural and food colors. It’s also completely biodegradable. The corn is so starchy that you don’t need any other adhesive; just get the PlayMais wet to activate the starch, and it will stick to anything.
PlayMais comes in basic starter packs, but they also come in theme boxes, like the PlayMais Farm Box my daughter got. It came with pre-cut cardboard sheets to simulate the farm buildings and lots of pieces of PlayMais in all different colors, as well as all the PlayMais accessories that come standard in all their sets.
My daughter was instantly a fan of the PlayMais, and so was I. They were easy for her to use by herself, and they offered lots of room for creativity. She played for hours and I help her to create farm animals and make up stories about them. The thing I loved most was how easy they were to use and clean up. There’s hardly any mess involved, like with dry toys, but my daughter was able to constantly move things around and change things up, like with clay or something much messier. PlayMais were the best of both worlds.
If you haven’t experienced PlayMais yet, you will be surprised at what an awesome toy they are. The PlayMais kits offer hours of fun, yet are easy to move around and clean up. It’s a perfect toy for on the go or just sitting at home. Because the PlayMais never dry up, you don’t have to worry about leaving them out too long, so your child can play with them for as long as they want. All around, this is an excellent toy, and I would definitely suggest it for any parents of young children.
