If you follow my blog for a while, you know that I like to make healthy choices when it comes to food. I like products or companies that have gone “green”. I recycle as much as I can and when I can. When it comes to clothes or fashion accessories I look for certain earth friendly, qualities in those as well. Since I became a mother I try to save money when possible, but every now and then I have to splurge on something that is just for me. However, if and when I do buy myself a little something I make sure I love it. I believe that when you buy something you have to really love it, because if you just like it there’s a chance you may not use it that often. It never hurts to do a little research before you purchase.
Motherhood keeps me busy. I have a four year old little girl, and I have another baby on the way. Being punctual is very important, especially now with all my daughters activities and doctor’s appointments for the baby. At some point I will need to invest in a good watch. I need one that’s durable, fashionable, and easy to wear. I need a watch that can keep up with me and my family, and hopefully will be eco-friendly too.
Luckily, I received a Sprout brand watch for review from Groovy Organic Style. I fell in love it right away. The one I got was really great, the strap is made up of organic cotton, the case is made out of corn resin, and all Sprout watches use mercury free batteries, which is another eco-friendly advantage. My favorite part of this watch is the face of the dial. At first glance it looks like a lightly colored wood grain. It’s actually made out of bamboo! All the dials on Sprout watches are made from bamboo, so no two watches are alike! I was also surprised that these watches start out at only $30! I think that’s a reasonable price to pay for a decent watch.
I was also pleased to see that this fun and quirky website sells bags made by RICKI DESIGNS. As a mom I feel like I’m always looking for that perfect bag. The bag that is easy to dress up or wear with your favorite pair of jeans and flats. I also don’t want a “mom purse”. I consider myself to still be fashion savvy, so I want a bag that could go with anything. I have children, I don’t have the time to stop and change my bag to match my outfit every time I walk out the door! I was also given this large tote messenger bag that I couldn’t keep my eyes off of. I love it, I feel like I need it. The strap on it is adjustable, has tons of room on the inside, beautiful, eye-catching print with a neutral background on the outside, has another little compartment inside to help stay organized, and a lipstick sleeve. Because the bag is so roomy and stylish, it could double as a diaper bag and no one would know the difference.
As I mentioned before, Sprout watches start out at $30, and the RICKI DESIGN bag that I reviewed was around $100. I think the watch is reasonably prices, and I know the bag seems a tad expensive but I think it would be worth it. The messenger bag was very versatile. It’s made out of quality fabric, and is something I would get a lot of use out of. I would highly recommend both of these items.
