One of our favorite activities as a family is to stay home and watch movies. I feel it is a good way for us to relax and enjoy each other’s presence. As an adult, I have my own favorite movies but now that I have kids, movie night at home usually means watching child-friendly movies. I am a stickler for the kind of movies my kids get to watch and I am sure you mothers are picky about the movies your kids get to watch. It is for this reason why I am pleased to tell you about two new movies that you and your kids are sure to enjoy. These movies are from kaboom! Entertainment and are as follows.
Mike the Knight, Knight in Training – February 12
This movie is considered a favorite among pre-schoolers as they enjoy being able to join Mike the Knight and his colorful cast of friends as they go about visiting castles, battling dragons, and meeting some Vikings among other things. This DVD is the brainchild of the same brilliant minds behind Bob the Builder and Lunar Jim. They have made sure that there is never a dull moment because each episode will have Mike the Knight going on different missions around Glendragon. He is not alone though as his sister (a Wizard) and his other buddies. You and your child can join Mike the Knight as he goes on his merry way trying to develop as one of the best knights in the kingdom. My daughter loved this DVD and for me, it was a joy to watch because I knew that even as my little girl laughed and giggled away with the DVD, she was also learning valuable lessons. It really is a delightful mix of entertainment and education which is what all mothers want for their kids. I was so happy to see my little girl learning valuable lessons and having fun. I am sure you guys too will want to have a look at this for your own kids to watch.
Jungle Book: The Movie – March 5
Rudyard Kipling is quite the story-teller which is the reason why Jungle Book remains one of the most beloved tales of all times. who can forget the full-of-wisdom Jaguar Bagheera and the jungle bear Baloo and the brave little Jungle-boy Mowgli? These friends show a great example of what friendship is supposed to be and in this Disney adaptation of the story, they show the friendship in a more child-friendly light. Sure there is a love story but I know that my little girl loves these twists even now. It isn’t Disney if there is no love story after all.
I really liked these DVDs and even more importantly, my little girl loved them too. in fact, they seem to be the go-to DVDs whenever we want to watch something on TV and there is nothing good on. You mothers need to get these as they are sure to provide you hours and hours of entertainment. The fact that your kids get to learn something from them is a very big bonus.
