Baby monitors enable parents to have some piece of mind by constantly having an eye on the little one. Their Ovia 2 Camera Video Baby Monitor is the top-of-the line, having all of the features any parent could need.
With the help of this monitor parents can see, listen and also speak to their kids in different rooms. Even a minute murmur noise can be recorded and monitored and you can talk back when baby needs reassurance with Talk to Baby two-way intercom. I really like this feature because sometimes my son wakes up in the middle of his nap and he will call me, with this feature I can talk to him immediately and he will get back to sleep and nap longer. My daughter is also interested in it and requested to have one in her room so that she can talk to me too.
The installation of the monitoring system was not as difficult, as I managed it with the help of quick start guide. The intuitive touch panel helped me to customize the monitoring setup with less technical procedures. When I first received the product, I thought that these screen settings should be altered to a fully bright mode. This really drains the battery to a great extent. But if you turn on power-saving PEEP mode, the monitor can run 8 hours without having to stop and recharge your batteries and Ovia’s screen will light up when baby makes a noise.
It’s also convenient for me to check my kids in complete darkness with its automatic night vision in the evening. The invisible infrared LEDs will activate as soon as low light levels are detected. So your baby can sleep peacefully without the distraction of the harsh red glow found on traditional baby video monitors and you can still see them. I am able to zoom, pan or tilt the camera from remote places and they are whisper quiet so I will not disturb my son while he is sleeping. The monitor screen actually looks big in which the little things are also taken good care of. The audio quality is excellent that there are absolutely zero disturbances.
Most of the baby monitoring systems come with just one camera. Compared to those units, the ovia 2 is better as it comes with 2 cameras (Expandable up to 4 cameras). The double camera unit is perfect for my family as I can place one of them near my son’s crib and one in his playing area. Whenever my son was sick, ovia 2 came to great help in constantly staying in touch with him. The special talk to the baby feature helped me to interact with my son whenever he needed attention.
The storage of data is pretty simple with the 2 GB micro SD card in it. I could transfer and permanently store information and also took regularly backups and saved the photos and video from SD card and uploaded to computer.
The monitor also has some amazing features like 3 pre-programmed lullabies. You can control it remotely from another room and easily play a song for your little one to soothe them.
