I just love how my daughter watches me put make up on. She doesn’t only watch keenly but interrupts me from time to time, insisting I put some on her face. She plays pretend often and wants to be “like mommy”. I just don’t like it when she attempts to sneak and steal my make-up and doll herself away! Ugh, talk about the mess she makes on the area and on her face. She even breaks some of mine and so I have to get new ones. This is why I was so thrilled to receive this adorable pretend make-up from Little Cosmetics Etsy store. I absolutely fell in love with it at first sight (and feel)! Little Cosmetics is a company founded and run by a mom with a daughter and school teacher. She, too, knows how it’s like to go through cleaning up the mess on our girls’ faces when they use real make-up, exposing their skin to its harsh components and the trouble of having to buy new make-up when they broke ours. Luckily, she ended up creating something to answer these, thus breathed life to Little Cosmetics Pretend Play Make-up.
I got the Little Cosmetics Essential set for my daughter a few days ago. The set comes in a pink organza draw string bag. Inside are the cutest make-up ensembles ever! Even makes me want to get myself the real versions of it. There are six items in it: one pressed powder compact, one iridescent lip gloss, one pink blush compact, one glitter shadow pot, one eye shadow palette and a set of pink make-up brushes. I love how there are no mirrors in any of it which can make me confident that there’s no chance she’ll get hurt if it breaks.
No need to say how my daughter loves it! I just can’t get over the look on my little girl’s face when she saw the package and much more when she opened it. She was really happy about it and so was I. All I can read from her face as she pretended to put make-up on was that she really thinks they’re real as she kept saying that hers are like mommy’s make-up! We spent hours playing with it and I was completely blown away on how the make-up looked and felt real but nothing stays on the skin. I love how it’s really close to how real make-up looks like but is absolutely safe and mess-free. It’s definitely the best make-up toy to keep her skin off the harsh elements of real make-up and keep her from having a funny colored face after. It’s perfect for little girls like her who’s too old for plastic pretend make-up but too young for the real ones. I definitely recommend it to all moms with daughters about mine’s age or for anyone who has a precious baby girl who loves getting all dolled-up.
