New Fall Grobags {#Review}

Right now, I’m relieved that my youngest child, who’s no longer a little baby, is now big enough to be free from the risks that infants are exposed to when sleeping. It was a major milestone for us, but I must admit that I do miss my kids’ infancy stage! I can still remember how super mindful my husband and I were whenever we put our babies to sleep, especially during the cold seasons. We were very particular with providing warmth and comfort, and most importantly with ensuring full safety as we vigilantly avoid the risks of sleep suffocation and SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). We’ve learned it all, and there’s one of the many things that made me so thankful in reducing such risks: a Grobag baby sleep bag.

When my son was around 12-18 months, I made a review about his sleeping experience with the Grobag Baby Sleep Bag in Le Chien Chic design. I must say that a quality sleep bag like Grobag, with its blankety-bag-like bodysuit design, is the smartest and safest alternative to loose blankets. It made my son comfortable and secure in his sleep, and I felt joy and relief seeing him sleep soundly and look cute on it!

And this time, I’m happy show you a new design: the Buzz-y Bee Grobag! However, the size I got is for 0-6 months and I badly wish I had it sooner. But no worries though, Grobag sleep bags are available in sizes for 0-6 months, 6-18 months, and 18-36 months. My son now fits in the 18-36 months size. But there are other designs that fit kids aged 3-6 years too! What’s remarkably different with the 0-6 months size though, is that aside from the shoulder/underarm poppers, is a side zip (instead of front zip for other sizes) to make it easier to wear for infants.

The Buzz-y Bee Grobag inspires a cheerful design that makes you light up in the morning as you see baby wake up. The upper half is white, with three animal friends greeting one another: a flying bee, a squirrel with an apple, and a worm with an apple too. The lower half is striped with subtle shades of a bee’s colours: yellow, light gray, and tan. While the back is light teal with white graphing lines. It’s a great design both for boys and girls, so this makes a great gift for moms-to-be who prefer knowing the gender of their children only after giving birth.

The sunny design of Buzz-y Bee is available in 2.5 togs for all-year round use (standard room temperatures of 16-20°C or 61-68°F). Other Grobag designs are also available in 0.5 tog for holiday and heatwaves (hot weather, very warm room at 24-27°C or 75-81°F), in 1.0 tog for summer and daytime naps (warmer weather, rooms at 21-23°C or 69-74°F) and 3.5 togs for cold temperatures (12-15°C or 54-59°F). “Togs” is the term used for warmth ratings, as approved by The Lullaby Trust charity for safe sleep and in adherence to the New British Standard for baby sleep bag.

The award-winning Grobag is made by the Gro Company, with more Gro sleepwear brands to love like Gro-snug, Gro-swaddle, and Gro-suits. Gro also offers a range of essential sleep safety products and unique nursery styling goodies. These Gro products are available at OYACO, a trusted Canadian distributor of innovative, safe and high quality baby, maternity and children’s products.
