Legoland Discovery Centre is an indoor LEGO themed playground that is full of both educational and interactive attractions that your kids are guaranteed to love. The playground is geared towards children aged between 3 and 10 years old, but all kids are welcome. The Discovery Centre features a 4D theatre, 2 LEGO rides, and multiple different attractions that will provide fun for the whole day. There is also Miniland, which a miniature model of Toronto that is made out of over one million LEGO bricks. Recently, though, Legoland Discovery Centre expanded by opening their new attraction called Ninjago City Adventure.
Ninjago City Adventure is an interactive play area that opened last month. It is the 5th interactive experience that has been added to Legoland since it opened about four years ago. My children and I decided to check it out last Sunday, and I am so glad we did. It has a total area of 2,300 square foot and includes two stories. It is modeled after the temple of Airjitzu and it tests the physical skills of its guest as they do their best to defend and save Ninjago city. Both adults and children will have their balance, agility, strength, and endurance tested as they experience over twenty interactive features.
You can first choose to practice your ninja skills in the training room and test your hand-eye coordination on the reflex game. Once you feel confident in your ninja moves, you can move on to the temple, which is an obstacle course that is inspired by popular Ninjago characters. There’s an incredible amount of interactive activities you can partake in, including a vortex spinning barrel, attempting to harness the power of the water, navigating through hover rings and buzz bars, completing a crisscross maze, and climbing on vertical ropes. All of these are cool ways to test your LEGO building skills.
There are some really interesting facts to know about Ninjago City Adventure. This new attraction costed around $750,000 and took almost 7,000 hours to build (this is about 292 days). As I stated earlier, the model of Toronto is built of more than one million LEGO bricks and over 110,000 LEGO bricks were used to make up the three showcase models. These three models, Sensei Wu, Jay, and Nya, were created in the Czech Republic. In the Ninjago City Adventure, there is also an area specially created for toddlers. The attraction was built in North Carolina by one of the largest manufacturers in the world.
When my children and I went, we had a blast and absolutely loved it. My children actually want to go back already. It can be found in North Toronto inside the Vaughan Mills Mall. It is just off of Highway 400. It is an awesome place to take your children for a fun day of awesome activities. It’s also a great way to get them moving and exercising this summer. As much as my family and I enjoyed going, I assume that you and your family will enjoy it as well.
