I always thought blankets are completely harmless. I mean, it’s just a blanky, right? It’ll keep babies warm and feel secured during sleep. Well, that was before I knew of many sleeping hazards that blankets can cause if used improperly. So, aside from blankies, I bought sleep sacks before I gave birth to my eldest. I got a little hesitant of using blanket for my daughter so I chose to let her use sleepsacks most of the time.
For my second baby, with all the experience I had with the ones that my daughter used, I wanted to get sleepsacks that are way much better than the ones in the market before. With no trouble searching for it at all, I really find the Organic Hemp Sheep Sack perfectly fitting for that. To start off Kohlr Baby has some serious consistency of trademark features found in all their sleepsacks. All of them are made of recycled wicking fleece, certified organic cotton and are absolutely soft and comfy. They’re the safest way to give baby a good night’s sleep because unlike blankies, they won’t come-off easily. There is this top-down zipper side which allows midnight diaper changing with out waking up the baby. It can actually be left resting on the crib open, just waiting for the baby to lay on it, zip the sides and it’s all ready to keep baby warm all night long. Also, they are all designed with body couture designs, breathability, and the ability to make sleeping routines effortless. This is because when babies become use to blankies, it should then be brought wherever the baby is spending the night. Since it comes with the ‘pack n’ travel’ design, bringing it anywhere will always be convenient.
Now, what I got for review is the Organic Hemp Sheep Sack. The sizes available are small (2-10 months), large (24-36 months) and the size of what I received, Medium (10-24 months). Mine was 34” long so that’s perfect to keep feet covered without hampering movement. It’s sleeveless and has these 2 cute snaps on each shoulder for closures. It’s really nice to feel because of its fabric. Label says it’s composed of 55% hemp and 45% organic cotton. That’s safe on baby’s delicate skin, thus preventing it from any itch or even rash. There is this little sheep patch on the chest area which is really adorable. It has white fleece as the body and black satin for the legs and head.
Another thing I love about this sleepsack is that it is especially designed to keep enough temperature adaptability. They have a 0.5-1.0 TOG equivalence which is a value to determine how a blanket can keep baby warm. So in this case, Organic Hemp Sheep Sack can be used during warm to hot weather.
All in all, I would love to have moms try the Organic Hemp Sheep Sack. Especially if you’re the kind of mom who is constantly paranoid over blanket worries like SIDS possibilities, this would really be a great product. They would make excellent presents, too!
