My daughter is in kindergarten now and her lifestyle has become more and more active recently. I need to keep up with her running and playing, so I know I need supportive and durable shoes for her. Obviously, I would want her to be dressed in the most trendy and cute footwear out there. So, I was on a mislsion to ook for a supportive, durable, comfortable and stylish pair of shoes for my active little daughter. Palladium Boots – that’s the one. They are especially made for all-around walking and they are made stylishly for kids!
I’ve heard about Palladium Boots and how durable their boots are. They said that they built their first factory for footwear because they wanted to make boots that are as hard as car tires.
“Palladium was founded in 1920 to make tires for the fledgling aviation industry. Tires were made by layering canvas bands underneath vulcanized rubber. Palladium’s expertise was so advanced that soon the majority of Europe’s aircraft were using Palladium tires.
After World War II, with aircraft manufacturing screeching to a halt, the demand for tires decreased dramatically. Palladium decided to open a plant in Pont De Cheruy, France, to start producing footwear that was as hard wearing as their tires. In 1947 the legendary Pampa boot was born, and the functionality, comfort and durability were so outstanding that the French Foreign Legion adopted it for their use. The Foreign Legion put the boot to the test in the harsh desert conditions of North Africa, and throughout the rugged terrain of the Atlas Mountains.
Today, the original design, classic lines and time tested utility are as relevant as they have ever been. Combining over 60 years of authenticity with modern manufacturing, premium materials and cutting edge styling, Palladium boots are ready to help you explore your street, your city, or the world.”
I think I can depend on Palladium Boots to make nice durable boots, but do they have a a good sense for functionality and function as well?
With warm, sunny days almost here you should check out Palladium’s Kids colourful collection for Spring/Summer 2013.
This season, Palladium offers great new colours in Indigo and Ibis Rose—a fun, bright way to welcome the new season! The Pampa High boots are stylish, comfortable and durable—perfect for all your little explorers—and extremely lightweight, which makes for easy packing when you’re traveling on-the-go.
From April showers, to summer school trips, to weekend play dates, Palladium has a colourful option for children of all ages!
Here are some features of the Palladium Boots Pampa Hi I got for review:
• Lightweight. Most boots with rubber outer soles are extremely heavy, but these boots are surprisingly light which is perfect for toddlers. You don’t want them prancing around with really heavy shoes because it is much too dangerous. I was very pleased to find out that it is lightweight which also makes it easy for packing.
• “Self healing” Zipper. First of all, I think it’s incredibly clever to have these boots have shoe laces. These laces make the shoe stylish and closely look like an explorer’s boots. But there is no need to worry moms! They are not usable so you don’t need to worry about tying up those shoe laces every 2 minutes. You close up the boots by the zipper on its side. This zipper though is “self healing” which means if the zipper gets ruined or become undone, it can be fixed by just repeatedly opening and zipping it. Talk about durability!
• Ankle support and Sockliner. The Pampa Hi for toddlers has a good ankle support. I hate it when my daughter wears boots and they fling around whenever she walks. These shoes wrap around my daughter ankles in a snug manner. Although I can’t feel it for myself, I’ve pressed down the inner sole of the boots. I know that sometimes our kids don’t tell us what’s wrong with their shoes so I have to double check it myself. The good thing about its sockliner is that it is very soft which makes it a good stepping ground for my young walker.
• 100% cotton canvas. Same material as Converse sneakers which makes it washable.
I think these boots and sneakers hybrid shoes perfect for my daughter. I like how they look like and how comfortable they are for my daughter. The only downside to these boots is that they aren’t dirt resistant or waterproof like leather boots. But this is only a small issue since I could avoid getting hardcore dirt on her shoes. Palladium also offers a collection of these sneaker boots for boys with the same features and excellent quality.
I strongly recommend these boots to moms out there, especially if you are a mom like me who likes style, comfort and durability for the footwear of your little ones. You can check out the collection at www.Palladiumboots.com.
I love the style! They look tough enough to go exploring in 🙂
My daughter has a pair of Palladium boots, they are a great boot. I would like a pair for myself. Very well made and cute style.
