RUNWAY-WORTHY CANADIAN FINDS FROM PICOUM

Summer only means getting out there and having a healthy dose of sunshine on your skin. So might as well do it in style! But summer, just like all the other seasons, is also an opportunity to shop for off-season stuff so that they’re priced lower (I guess at least more often than not). So aside from getting yourself new summer outfits, how about a new sweater for the coming fall too?

This cardigan sweater has three melange shades of grey with a nice family crest, and has two side pockets. I love the texture, the three melange tones add excitement to the neutral color, making it really fun yet sophisticated for little boys to wear. It’s made from 100% cotton and it feels so soft and comfy! I’m so excited for my son to wear it before fall starts. Romy & Aksel is a Quebec-based brand of children’s wear. 

Girls’ striped jumper by Romy & Aksel 

This one-piece outfit is just so chic! I seriously wish they had this in my size. The subtle orange stripes are perfect for the summer, and all this jumper needs now to complete my daughter’s bright summer look is a hat, a pair of sandals or ballet flats, and cool sunnies! Or maybe some layering with a sweater as well when the transition from summer to fall comes. It has two big side pockets too. Really chic and functional. 

Women’s primevere jacket by Message Factory 

This long, light grey cardigan with lined hood is made from recycled cotton and polyester with French terry spandex. Recycled! Perfect for a Natural Mama like me. Its large 3-inch wooden buttons are made from recycled poplar too, which were artisan-made. I love the contrast of the brown wooden buttons against the grey cotton, and the ginormous size of these buttons instantly work like accessories that add oomph to your look. This jacket is definitely not a boring piece at all! Its so soft and comfy, and I can’t wait to wear it once the summer transitions to fall.

Jacie dress by Melissa Nepton 

This black pleat dress with multicolour front design is basically a shift dress made from 100% viscose. I love shift dresses because it does not reveal the silhouette on my waist and hips yet it gives an illusion that you’re kinda slim. And this Jacie dress is short enough, just above my knee, and it has sexy backless portion which I really like because it’s not too revealing but still flattering enough. This is now my favourite dress for the summer! Melissa Nepton is a designer brand based in Montreal.
