With Christmas right around the corner the thoughts on the forefront of many parent’s minds are gifts for the kids. That is certainly where my thoughts are these days, and I have found a wealth of gifts with Playmobil.
Playmobil provides a wide variety of gifts for children, all colorful, safe, and easy handling for little hands. The Soldiers Lookout with Beacon is a detailed tower filled with plenty of paths for my little guy’s imagination to wander through. This toy comes with two soldiers in full uniform, including hats, a tiny plastic rifle, and a treasure chest filled with gold for them to guard. And what would a Lookout be without a cannon? The cannon comes complete with two cannon balls to shoot at enemies who even attempt to come near the Beacon where the treasure is being protected. The Beacon itself is equipped with rungs that go from the bottom to the top, which the soldiers can climb when it’s time to survey the surrounding area to make sure all is safe. The soldier’s hands are constructed in such a way that they can stand on one rung while climbing up the Beacon and grab a hold of the one above in order to keep their balance.
Playmobil’s Soldiers Lookout with Beacon features a crow’s nest at the very top of the tower, surrounded by a chain fence to prevent the soldiers from falling out. The crow’s nest comes complete with a plastic fire, that actually glows when batteries are placed inside, by pushing a small button on the side of the crow’s nest. On top of the fire the Beacon is capped off with a flag in complete visibility, reminding every enemy who owns this treasure!
Another wonderful and imaginative toy by Playmobil is the Pirate Treasure Hideout which is the perfect complement to Pirate Treasure Island, also by Playmobil which is also a favorite of my son. Pirate Treasure Hideout is a perfect addition to Treasure Island, which is built for continuous add-ons. Two pirates included in the set are decked out in their official pirate garb, complete with boots and hats. The set also comes with treasure chest and gold, two swords and a pistol to aid the pirates in protecting their treasure, skull and crossbones, a torch for their clear vision at night, and other accessories that are all necessary in order for a pirate to protect his gold to the best of his ability. The pirate’s hands are also fashioned in the way that makes it possible for them to actually hold their own weapons without my son needing to do it for them.
Playmobil never ceases to come out with new playsets that spark the minds and imaginations of my children, and many other children as well. Soldiers Lookout with Beacon and Pirate Treasure Hideout are proving to be wonderful additions to my son’s world of Playmobil playsets. Pirate Treasure Hideout is only one of many that we can add to his Pirate Treasure Island, expanding his world of play and his imagination at the same time.
