The Precious Moments brand name was started, when artist Sam Butcher’s drawing of the endearing teardrop eye children, which he called Precious Moments, became popular with family and friends. In 1970, Sam along with a friend, Bill Biel started a small company that brought to life his Precious Moments art through cards and posters.
