I never brought up this little thought at all, but I think I’ve become less mindful of my phone’s battery status. More than a decade ago, when our mobile phones were much simpler (no cameras, just call and text and simple games), I used to be aware of my phone’s battery status so I charge it faithfully with its wall charger almost daily or every other day.
Fast forward to now, I’m still trying to get the hang of owning a smartphone not because it’s cool but because I’m now convinced that it has become very convenient and a necessity. My life as a mom has become busier all the more that I no longer recognize the battery status of my phone. But that’s because phone batteries now last longer for days that I forget my smartphone’s not immortal.
So yeah, most of the time even if my phone’s full charge lasts 3 days or more, I get teeny bit inconvenienced by my own forgetfulness when it’s time to reach for my charger again. Sometimes, I even forget where I last left or kept my charger because I only use it once or twice a week. Hooray for long-life batteries! Boohoo more when it finally drains.
It’s not big of a deal actually, but then I realized why portable phone chargers now exist. It’s to make up for my forgetfulness. But kidding aside, you’ll never know when you need your smartphone to work with extra power when you’re taking video calls or when you need to stream kiddie videos just to keep a toddler calm while on a long road trip (given that all my gadget-free tactics fail of course). So yes, I do need one not just for my phone but to save the day.
My Rayovac Extra Hours 3X portable phone charger got my back on this one. It’s compact and lightweight, fits easily in my bag and convenient to leave in the car. It has one microUSB input and two USB ports so I can actually charge three gadgets at once. It has 6000mAh of power which provides up to three full charges for a smartphone, and if unused it retains its full charge for up to 6 months. You’ll easily know its charging status with its single LED battery gauge indicators.
The Rayovac Extra Hours 3X portable phone charger includes one microUSB cable, and it’s compatible with most USB power cords and USB-enabled devices so aside from my phone, we can also charge our tablet and my kids’ USB-enabled toys.
My family is now very excited to take on a lot of holiday activities this season, so we would be going out a lot, and of course take lots of photos. I’m sure my kids would also want to use our gadgets because they know I’m more generous during this time, and they’ve been great kids this year so I’m giving them a little more break from our gadget-free house rules. But I won’t let them know that our Rayovac Extra Hours 3X portable phone charger is just around to keep the gadgets powered in case their batteries drain though. *wink wink*
