Peppa Pig and the Vegetable Garden is another adventurous and fun story for kids. Fans of Peppa Pig and her little brother George will definitely enjoy this new crazy but cute adventure and I am sure will laughed out loud at the end of the story. Delightful and well written storyline, colorful illustrations, catchy pictures and easy to spell out words makes it favorite among kids. Its interactive story is very easy to read and its plus feature and greatest gain is that kids get to learn about gardening.
“Peppa and her little brother, George, love to help Grandpa Pig in the garden. They discover that everything grows from seeds planted in the dirt, and that even the apple that falls on Grandpa Pig’s head has seeds inside! Join the amiable Peppa and her spirited family as they shoo away birds and “monsta” snails, imitate butterflies and worms, make a scarecrow, and gather ingredients for a fresh salad — and Granny Pig’s delicious blackberry pie.”
My daughter is a big fan of Peppa Pig and her thrilling stories and she often insists this particular story during bed time. She just loves this book and can’t get enough reading this story and going through its pictures consistently. Even I enjoy it reading too and taking inspiration from this story of growing seed, we grew a plant too. She was excited and over joyed like Peppa pig when a little shrub from the seed grew out. It’s a good fun bed time story and it’s a great addition to her reading books list. It educates kids and entertains them too. It’s a fantastic story book for elementary students. I give five stars to this awesome educational and entertaining book.
Another green living theme book of which will totally captivate and mesmerize kids is E-I-E-I-O! How Old MacDonald Got His Farm with a Little Help From a Hen. Judy Sara is a stupendous children writer and her stories content are very interesting and worth reading. You will get lost in the colorful picture, outstanding artwork and gorgeous details in the story. I was fan of little strong red hen back in my school days and its cute stories are still imprinted in my mind. It’s great that Judy merges farmer and hen and presented a sublime story of these two in one. Adorable animals and great rhymes make it fun to read.
“Once upon a time, Old MacDonald didn’t have a farm. He just had a yard — a yard he didn’t want to mow. But under the direction of the wise (and ecologically sensitive) Little Red Hen, Mac learns to look at the environment in a very different way, and whole new worlds start to bloom with the help of some mud, garbage, horse poop, and worms! Judy Sierra’s spirited verse, paired with Matthew Myers’s exuberant illustrations, yields a fresh take on a children’s classic, complete with raised-bed gardens and an organic farmers’ market—making this a perfect story for armchair gardeners and devoted locavores of all sizes.
The Little Red Hen gives old MacDonald some pointers on composting — and a legendary farm is born — in this rhyming, rollicking read-aloud.”
Kids have awesome time reading this beautiful book and they learn valuable lessons like introduction to farming, importance of healthy food, to strong belief in us and value of trust. This story can motivate kids to grow their own food in their back yard. The story is absolutely hilarious and is deserves to read aloud to a group in school, in birthday parties, pajama nights or in class rooms. Even kids won’t stop themselves sharing this enthralling tale among friends. This book is best if you are thinking to gift a book to kids as present. Don’t forget to sing out E-I-E-I-O!
