Hooray to the best guide book (Sage Spoonfuls: Simple Recipes, Healthy Meals, Happy Babies) ever written to simplicity and practicality all supermoms (and supermom wanna-be) needed.
Sage Spoonfuls really understood the standpoint of any mom – all our complaints (about pricey baby food), our worries (on allergies and intolerance) and our desires (to give only the best to our family) in and outside the comforts of our homes have been covered in this book. It contains the most sensible and useful information from introducing baby solids to tested and tried recipes up to practical information on allergies, nutritional content, foods to avoid and even CPR! I have seen many recipe books which only contains recycled recipes on purees and mashed this and that but this book this is not that kind of book. Sage Spoonfuls: Simple Recipes, Healthy Meals, Happy Babies – contain very basic information that parents need to know about making, preparing and storing food for baby at home. This book goes to educate parents (yes, not only moms) how to properly select the ingredients at the supermarket to preparing food and storing it. It also gives out tips on which fruit, beans and meat goes well together. How handy! What makes it even more engaging as a guidebook is that it provides a journal section where moms can make marginal notes on any modification and variations they have done to the recipes which suited to the needs of their little one and the entire family.
My son is 8 months old and has already started solids at 6 and I am so glad to have a handy book such as this to make me more confident in keeping my family healthy. My entire family has hugely benefited from this book to as we also try and make variations of the recommended recipes. I am sure other mom who have laid their hands on this helpful guidebook would agree with me and what makes me even more poised to recommend this book is that this book has won the Parent Tested Parent Approved Seal Award, 2012 Mom’s Best Literary Gold Award and 2012 Silver Medal Independent Publisher’s Award. This 227-pages very easy to follow spiral bound hard cover beautifully designed book containing 66 tried and tested recipes is a total steal from the bookshelf which will surely make any mom excited!
I believe that baby food does not need to be fancy but it has to be healthy. Surely all moms wanted to give the healthiest meal to their little one but challenges comes in when we are on the go with our kids in tow – such as visiting families, or running errands, attending to needs of older children, and the list can go on. This book is the kind of help many moms need. Sage Spoonfuls did not only make a kitchen book but a recipe for a happy and healthy household. This book definitely does not only make happy babies, but happy and confident Moms too. Like me.
