I am a firm believer that if I am to indulge in chocolate or some other sweet dessert, it better be the best chocolate and the best quality dessert. Now that I have a family of my own, I stand by my decision which is why I would like to tell you about Green & Black and their delightful chocolate bars. There are a lot of chocolate companies that claim to be the best and I must say that Green & Black’s counts for one of them. They have the most delectable bars I have ever tried and the fact that they are organically grown and free-trade bars only makes them better. Now I understand Valentine’s Day has passed and most of you may have enough of chocolate but you can still try these bars for Family day. After all, your family members deserve a special treat and what can be more special than a desert made of such fine chocolate? They are unlike anything you have ever tried before and like I said, these are amazing bars of chocolate which means you do not get any sugared-down versions of what real chocolate should be.
Green & Black’s just added two new recipes to their site so I decided to give them a go. The first bar I got to try was the 70% dark chocolate and while it was rich and heavenly on its own, it can actually be used for making decadent chocolate desserts. Green & Black’s has a scrumptious recipe for Organic Spiced Chocolate cream. I can only imagine how the unique flavor of this chocolate will mesh with the spicy cloves and the heavy cream.
One of the other chocolate bars I got was the Green & Black’s 85% organic chocolate bar. I found this bar to have a more intense flavor and color than the previous bar but it was still fantastic. My senses are assailed by the smell of rich cocoa right when I opened the bar. The rich cocoa scent tickles the senses and really made me realize just how special this bar was. A tiny bite goes a long way and as it melts in the mouth and the chocolate-y tastes really lingers. Just like with its 70% chocolate bar, Green & Black’s has a recipe Tiramisu recipe that goes perfectly with bar. I have to say, I have a sweet spot for tiramisu and I may just try their Green & Black’s Organic Tiramisu recipe one of these days.
People are so used to sugary candy bars masquerading as chocolate and I have to admit that I was too. It wasn’t until I tried these bars that I got to know what real chocolate ought to taste like.
