A few weeks ago, my kids and I were one of the ‘chosen few’ to witness the launch of the new Force Band by Sphero in Toronto! And tomorrow, September 30, you can now get a it from the store to experience and possess the Force yourself!
The Special Edition Star Wars Force Band by Sphero includes a Force Band and a battle-word BB-8 droid. My daughter had the awesome opportunity to experience the power of the Force Band herself, where she got to control the BB-8 droid and earned the title of Jedi Master!
My daughter was able to enjoy the Droid Control mode of the Force Band, where she did powerful hand gestures to move the BB-8 droid around. She had so much fun being an instant Jedi, and not to mention the Star Wars themed event by Sphero literally put us in the Star Wars universe.
The Force Band also has a built-in speaker and voice recognition capability, so the app-enabled BB-8 droid can respond to voice commands. It also has Bluetooth connectivity which makes commanding the droid and other Sphero robots possible.
The battle-worn BB-8 droid is likewise Bluetooth-enabled, and can be controlled up to a distance of 100 feet from the Force Band.
Some other modes that the Force Band features are Force Training, Combat Training, Force Awareness, and Robot Control. The free app for this gives you a complete experience of what you can do with your very own Force Band.
