There are so many options out there for baby gear, and it can get pretty overwhelming for new parents. When I first got pregnant, I had no idea where to start. After some trial and error, I think I’ve finally settled on some must-have baby products. And on the top of my list? SwaddleDesigns Ultimate Receiving Blanket. Babies go through a lot of blankets, but this has consistently been my favorite. Here are a few reasons why:
Size. The blanket measures 42 inches square, which is significantly larger than other blankets on the market. This material is perfect for making him comfortable and just the right temperature, which definitely helped my peace of mind. Not to mention the fabric is super soft, which makes it good for snuggling for both mom and baby. And with each wash, the fabric gets even softer—it just keeps getting better and better.
Quality. The Ultimate Receiving Blanket is made out of premium fabric and is designed to withstand the test of time, or at least the test of an active baby. My blanket is in just as good shape now as it is when I received it, even after months of daily use. It has outlasted so many other baby blankets in our house and is always our go-to blanket. The blanket sells for $25, so it isn’t the cheapest blanket on the market, but it is definitely worth the price.
Design. Aside from just being a great blanket, the SwaddleDesigns Ultimate Receiving Blanket is great to look at, as well. It comes in a variety of chic, classic designs. My favorite is the Mod Circles design in white and kiwi. SwaddleDesigns makes a number of other products in coordinating fabric so everything can match. I get comments nearly every time I use the blanket in public because it is so great to look at and different from the typical baby blanket style. Plus, swaddling instructions are sewn into the edge binding for easy reference—my husband definitely appreciated that as he was getting the hang of swaddling our newborn.
