Top Traditional Toys For Kids

These days’ kids are surrounded by the latest technology. Whether it’s their mobile phone, games console, laptop, tablet or TV, they probably spend hours of every day consumed by tech.

However, as much as children do love gadgets and gizmos, research shows that they are still fans of traditional toys too. In fact, according to Sandbox Summit, non-tech toys are still the favourite for kids aged between eight and 18 – so what are you waiting for?

If you’re looking for children’s toys that don’t break the bank but still provide plenty of fun and entertainment then there are plenty of options. How about something that doesn’t include batteries? Just think about it, there’s no need for a screwdriver or difficult instructions to put it together. Good old classic and traditional toys for children are great fun and won’t end up going out of fashion in just a few weeks.

Outdoor toys

Playing outside is great fun on a warm sunny day, so you could look for toys that encourage the kids to get out in the garden or park. How about a paddling pool or ball pool? That’s not all though, what about getting them into a sport? Whether it’s football, boxing or tennis, there’s something for everyone.

Action figures

If your child has an active imagination, action figures are the perfect purchase. They will spend ages bringing their favourite characters come to life right in front of their eyes. From Barbie and Ken to Mickey and Minnie Mouse, you can get action figures of just about every character on television.

Board games and puzzles

Do you like to join in your child’s games? Board games and puzzles have always been a family favourite. Teach your child to play traditional games such as Jenga, Monopoly and Battleship or play new ones like The Cube or Rapidough.

Arts and crafts

Sometimes it can be really hard to keep the kids entertained on a rainy day, especially if they’ve been stuck inside for ages. Arts and crafts are a great way to keep them occupied and encourage creativity. From simple crayons and colouring books to making jewellery and chocolate, you can spend hours having fun with arts and crafts.
